Intro
I am Syed Yawar Hussain, a Lead/Staff-level software engineer with 8+ years of professional experience delivering web platforms from concept to production. My core stack spans React, Next.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, and Node.js, and I have led multiple projects across architecture, execution, and stakeholder alignment.
I currently work as a Principal Software Engineer at Arbisoft, where I own high-impact product delivery for healthcare and marketplace clients.
Leadership Snapshot
- Build delivery plans that connect technical decisions to product outcomes.
- Translate ambiguous requirements into clear milestones, estimates, and ownership.
- Stay hands-on in architecture and implementation while mentoring engineers.
- Keep business, client, and engineering discussions aligned during execution.
Selected Engagements
Fitnescity Health (Engineering Manager)
I lead Fitnescity's web platform end to end: public website, customer portal, and internal admin tooling. I built the public site with Next.js + Strapi, improved SEO/Core Web Vitals, and designed an AWS-based results ingestion pipeline that reduced manual operations.
Invaluable (Full-Stack Engineer -> Tech Lead -> Team Lead)
At Invaluable, I progressed from implementation ownership to team leadership. I delivered overhauls and new features, broke down requirements into execution plans, and coordinated technical and business decision-making through delivery.
DataIAm (Frontend Architecture)
For DataIAm, I focused on frontend architecture and critical feature delivery for an AI-assisted Salesforce data-cleaning product, including a transition from Next.js-focused foundations to a React-first application structure.
How I Work
- Start with outcomes, then design the leanest architecture that can scale.
- Prefer measurable quality improvements (performance, reliability, maintainability).
- Treat cross-functional communication as part of engineering execution.
- Optimize for momentum without sacrificing codebase clarity.
Outside Work
I enjoy turning complex systems into simple user experiences and helping teams move from reactive delivery to intentional engineering planning.
